Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that these recently came out for XP/Vista 32-Bit & 64-Bit.

Is anyone willing to try these out on their ThinkPad and report back performance wise? I'm curious as to how these perform in Assassin's Creed, etc. I would check but I'm without my computer for a few more days. :(

    Thanks!

Actually they work fine just fyi. And theres a reason most game enthusiasts don't use OEM drivers. Because they are completely outdated/suck.

This driver is available in LaptopVideo2Go. Would it apply to a 8800M GTX ? Or only quadros ?

is the modded INF file for Vista 32 bit the same as the one for XP 32 bit? Because I can't find the modded INF for xp and I can only get the XP driver from the nVidia website.

    FYI:

I tried to search the nVidia website for the Modile NVS 140M graphics drivers and it said in order to obtain official drivers, use the manufacturers provided drivers. In this case, Lenovo's.

Lenovo drivers usually will not give you the best performance. The NVS cards are designed for stability, not 3D performance. The best option I (and many others) use it modded drivers. (nothing new)

i did pretty extensive testing of at least 10 modded drivers for the NVS140 and the best score i got was with the 167.62 drivers from laptopvideo2go.
i used 3Dmark06, drivercleaner between uninstalls, with factory clock.

Vista 32 bit only. Look on the site for other flavors of windows.
get the files here. get the modded .inf and the driver itself.

in case your usure, just unzip the driver to a folder and copy over the modded .inf replacing the original. be sure to put it in a folder first, or youll have files everywhere.

    hope this helps somebody..... :D

    How do these perform?

What features do the keep or add?

Are they 100% compatible with FX 570m?

basically they make the desktop Nvidia unified drivers compatible with mobile graphics cards. one might argue that you lose the "stability" of quadro class drivers but you gain the added performance for 3d applications. Basically they give you better gameplay. If you dont use any 3d apps, then dont sweat it. the best advice on compatability is to give it a shot. If it doesnt work, then just go back to your original driver or try another. My tests were only on an NVS140. There is no reason they wont work with the 570. There is a million other threads on this topic around here also. :D
