New official Nvidia Quadro drivers posted tonight. For XP and Vista 32/64:

    http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvista_x86_169.96.html

I have a T61p with a 570 FX video card. I tried to install these drivers, and they wouldnt install. The installer said it could not find a compatible video card in my laptop, which obviously is not true.

Can these drivers be used on a T61p with a 570 FX video card? If so, how do you install them?

The T61p has a Quadro FX 570M and that is not one of the supported products. That driver only works with the desktop card. if you want to get that driver to work though you can check out http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/

The guide you posted above is not intended for QUADRO video cards, which my T61P has in it. The guide specifically states this.

So which driver would you recommend for someone who has a FX 570M in their T61P laptop? I want a driver that is stable, but runs games faster than all the other drivers. A tall-order I suppose, but trying to find the best driver is half the fun. :)

All the info you need can be found in this thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=209796

I am running a 174 driver on my T61p with Vista Business and it is stable and faster than stock. Follow the directions exactly, including the uninstall directions.

This is precisely what I am doing too (including Vista Business and the 174.16 drivers.) Using this driver, the modded inf, and the instructions from the link, you can trick your laptop into thinking it is a 8600 GT instead of a FX 570M.

You are right, it is fairly stable and runs a little faster than the lenovo driver, but I worry about my video card pretending to be a 8600 GT. I would prefer to find a driver that sees my video card as a FX 570M, and still runs games as fast as possible.

You're not going to hurt anything. I've installed various drivers from laptopvideo2go to no ill effect besides possibly running slightly warmer.
