So, under my suggestion, the lady and her family purchased a Lenovo Thinkpad R61i . It has the nice hardware goodies along with XP Professional, but **** does this thing ever have bloatware.
I'm planning to probably keep the few items marked ThinkVantage at the bottom, but what else is generally useless from the installed programs.
What should I remove?
Also, for the record, the lappy will be used mostly by very novice users.
Here are the add/remove screenshots:

I would also like to have someone who has the knowledge to help us identify the programs that are useless and should be removed....I have no idea too which programs are necessary and which ones aren't

If it was me, I would remove...
Diskeeper Lite (replace with JKDefrag)
Lenovo Registration
PC Doctor 5
Picasa 2
Windows Live Toolbar
The rest is really up to the user's needs.
