    New SL510 for $480 or ebay used for $360..help!

    Laptop newbie here, and I know you guys prefer the more expensive Thinkpads, but this is only for occasional use around the house. I can buy a New SL510 for $480 from an office store or ebay 9-month used for $360.
    New has 250 hd, 2gb which I may want to bump to 3gb and full warranty
    Used has 320 hd, 3gb and supposedly warranty good till April, 2011.
    Both have T6570, DVDrw, etc.

    The 250hd is plenty for me, so I'm leaning toward the new one for the longer warranty and general peace of mind. Any thoughts??? And thanks in advance.

    Get the new one with full warranty.
    Or look for some Edge series deals, plenty of them at ebay ;)

    if you are in usa go to outlet.lenovo.com and get a Thinkpad R500, T500, R400 instead.

    If you're going to buy something on Ebay for $360, get an R61 or T61 (non-Nvidia instead) with a T8100 or T8300 CPU. Performance should be nearly equal, but they're sturdier.

    Also, see if there's any R400s or T400's at that price. Better performance than most SL510s.
