I'm wondering why some of the customization choices for the T400/500 on Lenovo's site don't seem to be line with their spec sheets

    http://shop.lenovo.com/ISS_Static/merchandising/US/PDFs/t400_and_t500_datasheet.pdf

For example, on Lenovo's site, the T500 has no WSXGA+ w/ LED backlight option.

Just wondering what's going on here. Has someone at Lenovo just made a few errors when they were creating the customization page, or have they removed those options?

Actually...I don't think the spec sheets specifically call out a WSXGA+ w/LED backlight. They mention only the WXGA only as having that, although, that option is not on the website currently (is on the T400).

I'm actually more impressed with the customization they already have available, considering you still can't fully customize the Ideapads. But then again, I too wish the full set were available, as I'm not jumping in mainly because of the non LED backlit WSXGA+, though I'm not convinced they ever will offer it.

It's possible that they do not have those parts currently in stock so they have decided to not list them instead of listing them and having customers order them and having long delays.

How can they not have all parts in stock, these laptops have basically been delayed since June 3rd. This should be a trouble free and complete launch now, with good availability, which it isn't. But I am not surprised.

That's a bummer, I was looking forward to the LED backlighting among other things. Also, Intel T9400 for the T500 is +403? I hope that's a mistake.

Yeah, that sucks that the T500 does not have an LED backlight. I am really surprised because I would expect the T500 to be more popular.

I was also looking forward to getting a P9500 processor in the T500 - which isn't an option; though hopefully it will be in the future.

As a side note: Has anyone uncovered whether the HD3650 in the T500 is using GDDR2 or GDDR3 ram?
