    Hi,

I purchased my T42 a few weeks back and I like it very much. A few days ago I noticed some PIXEL issues that has made the experience a bit annoying.

When I boot my T42 everything seems to be OK with the pixels. However, after it says on for a while, I notice a WHITE pixel on the LCD screen, which after a while becomes BLACK.

The location of this pixel is not consistent. It happens at random locations on the screen.

Does this mean I have a hot/deal pixel or there is another problem?

    Thank you

I don't think your problem is a dead pixel. One that is dead doesn't move or change color. The one I had was the same light blue color the size of a speck of dust in the same location. That was annoying.

It sounds to me that the problem is not a pixel issue, but maybe an intermittant connection from the notebook to the LCD display.

I have the same problem. Someone told me that it may be because of a bug in UltraNav driver. Try to press middle blue button above the touchpad. The 'dead' pixel will disappear.

If pressing middle blue button works, please reply to let me know.

There are three dead pixels on the screen of my T40. That's REALLY annoying!

Does anybody knows what can we do with that?

Will IBM change screen under warranty for dead pixels?
