The display on my Dell Latitude E6400 bit the dust last Monday. It has served me very well for almost four years and I plan to replace the display. But even if I repair it, it's time for a new laptop to use as my primary computer.
I've been a fan of the T420s since it was introduced and I found a few NEW ones in the Lenovo Outlet for around $850 with a 3yr warranty upgrade. But I was surprised to see the current pricing on the T430s- less than $100 more than the T420s from the Outlet!
Here are the specs of the T430s I plan to order-
Intel Core i5-3320M
Windows 7 Pro 64
14.0" HD+ (1600x900) Anti-Glare LED Display
4GB DDR3 RAM (with a slot open to add another 4GB later)
320GB 7200rpm hard drive (to be replaced by a 128GB Samsung 830 SSD)
Intel HD 4000 graphics
DVD-RW
Intel Advanced 6205 Wifi-N
No Webcam or Bluetooth
Fingerprint Reader & 4-in-1 card reader added
Backlit Keyboard
6-cell Battery
UPGRADE to 3yr Base Warranty
For that configuration, I'm looking at $939.xx plus sales tax.
My only real question- is the 1600x900 display on the T430s the same unit used on the T420s? Are there any issues with this display?
Also, is there any reason I should get the Intel 6300 rather than the Intel 6205 WiFi card?
Thanks!

I don't know much about the T420s so I'm not going to comment on that but seeing that you're going to upgrade to an SSD and you might clean install, I would just get the Windows Home Premium for less money and upgrade later.

T430s if you like the new keyboard, T420s if you want the traditional keyboard.
Other stuff are quite similar. -
Check out the T430s review just posted on NBR:

Certainly could help, it's from a forum member and has good insights. Display panels are the same as previous generation.
