My new T60 just arrived. Ordered on April 26, and shipped on 30th and arrived yesterday. Surprisingly, shipping is not bad at all. It looks very nice, and I really love it. Final cost after all rebate and tax $1100 with 3-year warranty.
Two small questions:
1. I purchased 3-year warranty, but the online warranty status shows only one year-warranty. Does anyone know why?
2. I tried to create a recovery dvd (I was told it takes 6 cds or 1 dvd) from thinkvantage, but when I finished it, I found there is only 500 MB on the disc. Why is that? Maybe the computer thought it was a cd, and asked to me insert a second cd?
Thank you.

One more question: How do I partition the hard drive using Thinkvantage? I don't have PQmagic, is there any way to partition the HD?
Thanks. -
You'll have to call Lenovo to straighten out the warranty. It is not unusual for the warranty look up to be wrong.
My R60s made only one recovery DVD. Perhaps you hit CD by accident.
Lenovo doesn't include any partitioning software. You can try gparted which is free. I'd suggest you make sure the recovery discs are working before you try. -
Congratulations!
But what is the rebate on T60? never heard of that. could you tell us more about it?
And what is the configuration of your T60, which makes it so low-priced?
Thank you! -
The configuration is like this:
CPU: 1.66 GHz
1G RAM
DVD recorder
15.4 WXGA
120 GB Hard Drive
XP HOME -
Actually the technical rep. told me for XP, I cannot use cd , not dvd.
I hope I did not mess up the recovery cd as it can only create once.
But they also told me that if use F11 to recovery everything back to the original configuration, I will be able to create recovery cd again. Is this true?Anyone has tried this before?
Thanks.
