    New T60p wireless?

    Ok, I will admit right up front that I am fairly new to this whole wireless thing and I have a lot to learn. Hopefully someone can help me out here.
    We just received a new T60p. I set up the wireless using the Linksys WRT54GS router. We have several other computers in the house running off this router with good results. But the T60p shows to be connected at "low" or "very low" unless I am sitting right in front of the router. If I turn off the wireless and then turn it back on, it either takes forever to reconnect or will not reconnect unless I reboot the laptop.
    I hope I am just missing something stupid, but I am hoping someone here might be able to help me out.
