    This must be your first laptop purchase. I've never heard of any brand new laptop not come with a charger. :)

    Don't be so c0cky (EDIT: nice job NBR messing up legitimate words, yes I know c**k needs to be censored out). You never know nowadays what companies will do to cut costs. For instance, printers come without USB cables. iPods don't come with chargers or software discs. Years ago, we'd consider those things to be essential for product functionality and take them for granted, just like how we think of laptop AC adapters today.

    My new yamaha electronic piano came without an AC adapter and I had to buy it separately in order to play.
