I just read/translated a new review by Notebookcheck.com. In my opinion, the most comprehensive testing procedures on the net.

T61 comes out looking good. Overall score of 87/100 with the display 14.1" 1440 x 900 achieving 90/100.

Review is in German for now but after a few days they translate to English

The thread title was a bit misleading; it's just the normal 14.1" WS T61.

I've been going over the temperature test on the T61 and despite all the claims by Lenovo the T61 runs slightly warmer than the Dell D620, Toshiba Tecra A9, and others. Overall, the temp claim turns out to be a little more hype than reality.

I was hoping to see chart breaking performance in this area given the emphasis placed on it by lenovo in their sales pitch.

The normal (standard) display is the 14.1 WXGA and they tested the 14.1 WXGA+ but you're right it is not a T61P but a T61

Looks like a decent review nonetheless. Although I wish I could actually read it. Mine just showed up back home. Can't wait to get home from work.

    Misleading. It's a flat out lie. It's not a T61p.

Compared to the older T60, temps have dropped significantly in some parts, key item being GPU temps.
