Received my new T61p (T9300, 14.1") yesterday. Spent 9 hrs straight installing software starting with Win Server 2008 32bit. :)
I am impressed, coming from 8 years of inspiron and latitude use.
    Have a couple of questions:

    1. Which utility is better - Access Connection or the intel pro set ? I cannot get the Access-Con to connect to the secure Wlan at my work. The pro-set works just fine (using it on other laptops, not on T61p yet).
Are there any advantages to using the Access Conn?

    2. Anybody else using this OS ? What are your experiences ?

    3. Does this (14.1") unit come with the built-in card reader ? I was under the impression that it does. Mine doesnt have a card reader.

    4. Has anybody uses the iGO power adapter with T61 ? I have the 7500 series (rated at 100W max) while the compatible adapters are rated at 130W = which mean I have to shell out another $140 for a new adapter.

    5. Is it possible to install Diskeeper lite separately ? Where do I get it from ?

    Thanks.

I can't hit on any of your other questions but WS2008 is wonderful.

It really does blow away 2003. Enjoy!

but come with the screen protection rollcage though and the 15" doesn't from what I understand.. Gotta give and take. There are several models of the expresscard readers that will insert into the expresscard slot and will take mem cards of various types.

    Cool. Thanks.

Yes. It is much better than 2003 version. Once you enable the desktop experience etc, it is Vista on steroids.

I believe all T61p's come with the roll cage LCD protection; it was one of the main reasons I purchased my rig :). See here. As for the access connections vs. intel version, I went with the intel version. I try and keep off as many Lenovo utilities as possible due to the decreased performance associated with some of them. My policy is if Windows can do it and do it well, why add another program into the mix. The only utilities I use are the Active Protection System, Fingerprint Reader, and Power Manager.

I tried to install Intel ProSet, but the only things that showed up in the menu were the two diagnostic utilities. There was no connection software. I specifically installed connection software and it still wont showup anywhere.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
