    All,

Just a heads up....I got my new T61p yesterday. Fired it up and the screen was totally whacked. Had about 3 or 4 huge multicolored vertical bars on the screen. The laptop continued to do something, and then eventually it cleared up. Went through the normal new install, etc. Turned the laptop off when done and this morning turned the laptop back on. Once again, had the vertical bars. They wouldn't go away even after I'm pretty sure Windows had booted. Power cycled the laptop to have it happen again. Finally figured out how to get in to BIOS and found out the Monitor settings was set to External VGA. Now, in theory, it should be trying VGA first and once the OS loads, pop the LCD up (at least according to Lenovo's support site). But, it wouldn't do that for me. Once I set the Monitor settings to LCD, everything is right with the world!

    Just an FYI......

Weird. It shouldn't do that even with that EVGA mode (not that I have one to confirm, but it doesn't seem like a normal thing).
