Just received yesterday my new X380 Yoga. Purchased refurbished as new from a German Ebay retailer with top reputation. Considering the really good price (lower than €1000) I'm wondering if all is really good.

Looking at basic spec all appear to be fine (i.e. Cinbench R15 give 541 score for 1 run that's fine) but focusing on the most important I did find from HwInfo

    SSD NVMe LENSE20256GMSP34MEAT2TA
Display Lenovo Unknown Model LEN4094, Manufacturer LP133WF4-SPA5

The first one appear to be a Lenovo made drive, really slow, used normally on E-series Thinkpad or 2017 X1 Carbon. Notebookcheck review of the X380 with Samsung SSD PM981 MZVLB512HAJQ is 200% faster than E580 with this drive.
Btw HwInfo didn't show any info about the drive and I need to find on the System Resources monitor.

    This is CrystalDiskInfo result

To be confronted with the Notebookcheck one

The second one appear to be a LG panel with these spec that is mounted correctly on X380 considering Notebookcheck review.

How can I check if the various components are really what the drivers tells? Reading about fake customized drivers that show a wrong hw info.

Window installation appear to be with a wrong license and that's another thing I need to check with the vendor itself.

Device have warranty right? Just claim the SSD nonfunctional and/or faulty and request lenovo for a replacement you can install yourself, but be sure to request for the samsung specific FRU.

Do not, in any way, show that the machine is functional with the stock SSD. You have to make them believe that the SSD is causing the computer to be near unusable.

Retested the SSD with the power cord attached and the results are more reasonable, even if not at the same level with the Samsung

That lenovo SSD is still inferior compared to the samsung. Just request a replacement as I told you.

Tried to update to latest ssd firmware and best performance power mode the things didn't improve. Will look for replacement if possible.
About other things finishing my checks all appear to be ok for display, ram, cpu, interfaces.
The vendor also helped me with the Windows license so now all is working fine, in a few days I will finish transferring all my data and using it as unique working tool. Nice after 7 years with my old (but loved) x220!

There is a last element is making me wonder.
Trying to install Intel Xtreme Tuning Utility for my CPU undervolting (lower power emission, fever fan noise, better battery) but I can't install it since "Your system it's not supported".
Now from XTU release notes my CPU need to be fully supported.
Corcerned about the mobo, from HwInfo it's a LENOVO 20LJ000WMN, that didn't exist on a Google search.
Uising the Lenovo BIOS update utility work without problems telling me the BIOS is the latest available.
    Need to be worried?
