Do your new Power Manager and Access Connection have a blue outline around the program/window when you open it. For example, when the programs are open the outline of what you view should be a blue line around it? I know it might not make sence but open them up if you have the new versions for Vista and see if you see a blue line around the program.

yes there is a blue outline in the new thinkvantage power manager. i think this is by design, as it is used to resize the window.

    to lordvader.

try windows vista's built-in power manager? i find it very similar to the thinkvantage power manager.

also, if you used a computer that already came with its own power manager application, use that, as your computer manufacturer might also add special function to the computer, and needs the bundled software to realise its capabilities.

Yes, I agree. Vista's power manager is made for all machines and is general, but something like a power manager is specifically targeted at Lenovo's hardware and can take advantage of the hardware better since the hardware is under Lenovo's control.
