Seeing as I'm lazy today (and very busy) what speed does the turbo memory run at? Is it faster than disk but slower than RAM? Readyboost always seemed like a half hearted 'hack' /workaround to me.

I don't even think it's faster than the disk necessarily, it's just that there's no moving parts, so it's quicker at times, quieter, cooler, and uses less power.

I haven't used turbo memory yet, so I was wondering how it chooses what data to store on it. Does it automatically store most frequently used programs along with boot-up files, or is it possible to choose specific programs to be installed on it?

I tried to install the driver and it says "these drivers are older than the drivers currently installed on this computer."

It's trying to install drivers for both the turbo memory and the intel matrix storage manager.

Currently I have this version of the turbo memory driver installed 1.0.0.1082. The setup is trying to install the newer 1.0.1.1004 version.

I have the 7.5.0.1017 version of the matrix storage manager installed and setup is trying to install 7.0.3.1001 which is an older version.

I clean installed my computer so I downloaded the intel drivers directly off of their website instead of through lenovo. My computer has been running on turbo memory enabled for 1 day and has gone through 1 1/2 battery cycles without freezing. I don't know if should tinker around with anything. I fear I might bring back those freezes I was getting before with the updated driver that was put up and then taken off.

I got the same message during setup and I was also using v7.5 driver but I installed this driver anyways. The v7.5 did not prevent BSOD and new Turbo driver seems to be working now, 4 hours on and off battery - so far so good.
