How does one use the GPS ? Seems to be very little info especially if you are on Windows 7 (64bit).

Via Control panel I have opened 'Thinkvantage GPS' and it appears to start and says (forever) "satellite aquisition in progress".
I have associated Google Earth with it, as well as Thinkvantage maps. Both applications launch but neither show any sign of getting any GPS input.
I also have MemoryMap and Garmin Mapsource but have not tried them seriously yet because of lack of success above.

Anyone been able to make GPS work with Windows 7/64-bit ?

For the GPS, try it outdoors with a clear line of sight and wait a couple of minutes. The reception is poor but once you get a signal the GPS works quite well.
I thought that mine was broken until I left it running outside for about 5 minutes and it acquired 8 satellites.

    Give it a try.
