in case any of you havent updated your system lately, theres a new wireless update.
reason i'm posting is because recently ive been having a problem getting wireless to work after boot. its something with the wireless adapter...
perhaps this update will fix the problem.

what software is it for? access connections?
-
eh i dunno. i just ran the update, it didnt seem to fix my wireless issue.
i'm annoyed because everything has been fine with wireless til two days ago. -
You might want to try Intels driver instead, it's newer http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Det...dows Vista* Ultimate, 64-bit version&lang=eng. FWIW, I also didnt install the very annoying Access Connections from Lenovo. While it has some nice features, its mostly unnecessary bloat IMHO.

Could you explain in more detail of the problems you are having with your Intel 5300?
What encryption (WEP, WPA, WPA2, etc.) are you using? Do you have problems in certain wireless modes (like Wireless-G or Wireless-N)?
What router are you using? How old is that router? -
eh it may have simply been my ISP.
my wireless has been fine for 2 months with no problems. the past two days i'd wake up and boot up the t400 and couldnt connect. i'd have to run a repair of the network or something and then i could connect; after that the wireless would stay on all day and work perfectly.
and this happened like three days in a row until this morning when everything is fine again.
i'm using WEP because its all i can use for my xbox. and the router is a linksys wrt54gx2 with latest firmware.
