Long time no been on here ... this is a query for JonLumpkin and a few others who have extensive knowledge about the technical details of the Thinkpads. It has come to my attention that along with the T400s there is now also a new X200s in Europe that sports a 1280 x 800 LED screen with multi touch. Before that our variety of X200s had the X200 US screen, namely the CCFL 1280 x 800. That screen as commented on here many a time has in many cases a problem with video playback (ghosting, artefacts etc.). Now my query is has anyone seen or used one of these X200s with the new LED 1280 x 800 multi touch screens and how does it look? Also I am in no hurry so I can wait maybe for that Thinkpad X100 people are talking about though not crazy about that resolution it may come with (16/9 1366 x ...). Any advice here?
Currently on a T61 which is not bad but bulky and the screen is just not bright enough by far. I also got myself a Samsung NC10 netbook a few months back since I could not find a light Thinkpad to my liking (back to the video playback issue etc.). I must admit that NC10 has blown me away. For daily usage and general business usage (nothing intensive) and watching a few movies on long trips it has been amazing. It even survived the Amazon with its heat and humidity. And that little MATTE LED screen is fantastic ...why can't Lenovo put that sort of screen on its Thinkpad series ... it's beautiful.

All kidding aside, multitouch screen is only available for X200t and T400s. -
Keep in mind, multitouch tends to have a rather large effect on battery life.
-
Battery life should be the same as that of the normal one-finger touch X200t, which is also roughly the same as the non-touch X200t. -
That's been the experience of those with the T400s.

Ok well I did find info on that let me get back to you re multi touch. So is the LED 1280 x 800 a new screen since before there was only the CCFL variety withthe ghosting issues etc... I knew they had the 1440 x 900 LED in the USA for the x200s but this is definitely something new a 1280 x 800 LED;
