Hey all, will shortly be receiving my first ThinkPad -an X201 from the Outlet- and I wanted to add a 2GB stick of RAM to double the Lenovo-installed 2GB. I know W7 Pro 32 will only use 3+ GB of the total.

My easy choices for the 2GB stick are:

    Corsair CM3X29SD1066
    Kingston Value KVR1066DS37
    Crucial CT25664BC1067

All seem to be identical in specification, so wanting to minimize any possible compatibility issues and/or memory gremlins, can anyone report success or failure using these brands with the X201? Thanks for any and all insight!

Back in the day ThinkPads could be picky about what memory they'd take, but they're pretty brand agnostic these days. I'd buy whatever is cheaper. Most memory come with lifetime warranties. Worst case is you'll have to RMA for a new stick.
