Hi All. Just picked up a new X220T and having a good time with it although I'm just getting through all the software and updates now. One thing that's bugging me though: why would my wifi disconnect and reconnect every so often? I've set the power management to not turn off the device, although every few minutes i see no bars and then it reconnects at full strength.

I've searched, but it seems no one has seen something like this? It's almost like there's a conflict between which software is doing the wifi management, but I can't seem to find that switch. Any ideas? It's done it four times while typing this message alone!

Thanks in advance. Intel 6205 if that helps.

I'd uninstall all the related drivers and then update what's missing via System Update.

You know, I think now it may be related to my wifi power options. There is an option for wifi power savings and I found it was set to "maximum power savings" for both battery and adapter.

Changed to "maximum performance" and it seems to be on the tracks again. I'm going to keep an eye out for this and see if it recurs.

Well that was the trick it seems. Also, I was getting slow wifi startup times when coming from sleep. Removed the Intel Pro Set software and now it's connected by the time I get back into Windows from the login screen (instead of a 30 sec. wait).
