That looks like it could potentially be metal, but I doubt it. It seems like they made it just look like metal on the outside, which I find preferable to the silly pattern on mine...

No need to wait until launch. Here are the new machines with specs and msrp:

    Lenovo Y560P
CPU: Intel Core i7-2630QM, 2.0 GHz, 2.9 GHz
    Display: 15.6" HD (WXGA 1366 x 768)
GPU: Video graphics ATI Radeon HD 6570 M, 1 GB
    HDD: 500 GB, 5400 RPM
    Memory: 4 GB, PC3-10600 1333 MHz, DDR3,
    Optical drive: DVD +/- RW
Ports: 3 x USB 2.0 and 1 x eSATA / USB combo port,VGA, HDMI, Ethernet (RJ-45), 6 in 1 reader ( MultiMedia Card, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, Secure Digital Card, Secure Digital High Capacity Card, xD-Picture Card), One Slot (Express Card / 34)"
    Audio: JBL Speakers
    Model: 4397-23U
    MSRP: $899.99

The Y560 (no P) will be coming with an i5-480M CPU and an ATi 5730 GPU. I do not see a Full HD screen option and there is no USB 3.0.

The Z line is getting the i3-380 or i5-480M options in the Z560 models, with the Z565 (AMD offering) getting the AMD Turion P560 CPU. No USB 3.0, even in the AMD offerings.

Yup. I wish they would at least give the option of higher res/ better quality screens. 1366x768 is bad enough on the 14 inch, let alone the 15.4 inch.

Sorry, I cannot provide a link. Might have to take my word on it until Lenovo, who is notoriously slow, updates their website.

My info is pretty official though. Model numbers and all ;)

The i7-2630 is a 4 core 8 thread CPU. Notebookcheck info here. It has a base clock of 2.2GHz and can be turbo clocked to 2.9GHz using Intel's turbo boost 2.0

I do not have any information on the Y460, but it is reasonable to assume that since the previous generation Y460s were similar in spec to the Y560 that Lenovo will follow the same trend. But that is an assumption.
