Does anyone know if there are any new drivers that work with the y500 750m, besides the stock drivers (311.27)? I attempted to download 320.14 but it said it was not compatible with my system or something. I read that you can over rule this but it is a some what lengthy process and I would rather not screw something up. Any other new drivers that are verified to work?

Not yet. Just some hacks. My system works fine on 311 so I'm not messing with it.

Go to Nvidia's website and search driver for the 740m. It will let you install the 320.14 drivers without an compatibility problems. Ive been running it for quite a while now and have not had any issues so far.

I have the factory drivers installed on a fresh 8 core install. The 320.18 and the 320.14 drivers refuse to install, saying that there is no compatible hardware found

The 750 m on this new system was just released right? How long have you been running the 740 drivers

All computers use drivers to allow the operating system (Windows, Linux or OS X) to communicate and interact with the physical hardware of the machine. Under Windows gamers tend to constantly upgrade the video drivers because subsequent driver releases are supposed to perform at a higher level. This in turn allows them to play games that are more fluid and realistic.

    Cheers,

Do you have the SLI version with the 740 drivers? My SLI config refuses to install the 740 drivers

For those who have the current nvidia drivers, did you install them on an SLI machine, or only on a machine with a single 750?
