I posted this in the "How long did it take..." thread, but thought it might get more attention here. Anyone know what's up with the new keyboard FRUs?
I've come across two different ones so far:
42T3143
and
42T3273

I wonder if Lenovo is using a couple new keyboards or if they just decided to change the part numbers to throw us off a bit...
I'll have to check their parts listings when I get a chance, hopefully those have been updated with these new FRU's.
Either way, as long as they're still good keyboards (if they're different), that's all I really care about. -
Yeah, I have one more to add to that: 42T3209.
No results on IBM site, no google results. Does anyone know something about this?
For several of my other parts, there are no FRU or no matching results for the FRU I have. Made the parts check site useless. -

The keyboard on the T61 I ordered is 42V8195.

No complaints for the keyboard here either!
Watch, they probably just changed the FRU's and not the keyboards. If that's true, my luck being what it is, I probably got the Chicony! -
lol, I'm hoping I didn't get the chicony either. Maybe this has something to do with the t61 being out. Don't think they updated the fru in their part listing yet cause I had no results for a search of any of these fru.

I really like my keyboard, but was interested in who made it and...Bingo, found it.

Do a search in the pdf for your fru. Mine (42T3209) is the Alps. These are the keyboards for the t61 and r61 so I wouldn't be too pleased if this is a smaller keyboard, but like I said, but still like it.
Anyone know what differences there are on the t61 keyboards versus the t60? -
Quick update here, just got my shipping notice for a 15.4" T60p. The FRU for the keyboard is 42T3143 which I couldn't find in the T60p HMM, but apparently is the T61 NMB keyboard from the T61 HMM. I'll update when the laptop gets here and I can peek under the keys and verify which one it is.
