I recently updated Rescue and Recovery on my Thinkpad R61 and it told me to discard all previous rescue and recovery disks that I'd made. Does this mean I have to go through the entire 9 cd set of product recovery disks again or is this refering to the rescue media only?

I opened Create Recovery Media and I do have the option to make another set. Because the Recovery disks restore the computer to factory settings, how could they have changed after a rescue and recovery update? What could the new set of disks possibly do differently than the first one?

    Tell ya what. Use DVDs.

For the first disc use a CD then on the second disk and on, use DVDs it's faster to burn and it's only about 2 Discs.

Just use a regular Vista disc if you need to reinstall again. Rescue and Recovery discs are useless in my opinion.
