Hello everyone, I am a new member here and a proud owner of a brand new Lenovo T500. :)

Just want to say that so far, I am loving it. Its built like a tank, excellent battery life, and love the switchable vid cards. I was worried about the keyboard issues I was hearing about, but I don't feel any flex in mine whatsoever. Its solid everywhere. :D

    Heres the specs:

    Intel Core 2 Duo processor P8400 (2.26GHz 1066MHz 3MBL2)
    Genuine Windows Vista Home Basic
    15.4" WXGA TFT
ATI Mobility Radeon 3650 with 256MB
    2 GB PC3-8500 DDR3 (2 DIMM)
    Integrated Camera Module
    160GB Hard Disk Drive, 5400rpm
    CD-RW/DVD-ROM, Ultrabay Slim
    6 cell Li-Ion Battery

I think I got a pretty good deal for it too. All for less than $900 CAD. Just thought I'd go on a rant about how much I love it. :)

what is flex on keyboard? Is it the dip that keyboard makes when you type. I have that dip towards the left upper back

Yes, its the slight dip or indent in the keyboard when you press on it. ;)

One question I have is, since I have two different processors, do I need two set of drivers, one for each? Or does having two drivers screw things up?

What do you mean by two processors? These machines have a single processor with 2 cores.

Congrats on the purchase by the way. My T500 just shipped and should be here on Monday. I'm excited too. What a geek I am!

    Im guessing yes...

It must just seperate them. You need, or should have, a driver for the GPU you are using, so im sure they figured out a way. ;)

I noticed some ports around the outside of the laptop, but I'm not sure what they are for. There's one to the left of the keyboard, beside the usb plugs, and another one right at the front that looks like it could fit a sd card or something. Anyone know what its for?
