Sorry if I haven't done enough homework, but I haven't had time to keep up with the new thinkpad models since I got my x200s. I like the x200s very much, especially for its lightweight. I wonder for how long this light weight will be an attractive feature of x200s. Are the newer thinkpads even lighter?

The X201s has a pretty much identical chassis, so it weighs the same. I'd expect it to remain roughly the same going forward too (ie; Sandy Bridge refresh). The X100e may be lighter, depending on the battery, I believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

X100e is heavier than X201s, unless comparing the smallest X100e battery to the largest X201s battery.

    X100e is a netbook, isn't it? Doesn't count even if lighter. ;)
