Hi guys, I just got a new x220 and was wondering what are some ways I can measure the performance of this laptop. The specs are below:

    Processor Intel® Core™ i7-2620M
Operating System Genuine Windows 7 Professional 64 - English
    Total Memory 6GB DDR3
Hard Drive 128GB SATA 1.8" Solid State Drive
    Display 12.5” HD WXGA (1366 X 768) IPS, LED, W/ 720p HD Camera
    Graphics Intel® HD Graphics 3000
Battery 6 Cell Lithium Ion Battery (Up to 2.5 Hours Run Time)
    Ethernet/Wireless Intel® Centrino Advanced-N 6205 (2x2 AGN)
Mobile Broadband Integrated Wireless Wide Area Network upgradable
    Bluetooth Yes
    Integrated Camera Yes
    Color Black
    Fingerprint Reader Yes

I'm not sure where I could find threads on this.

Also, the laptop doesn't have a built in mic it seems? Or do I have to enable it somewhere?

Moreover, I've been having some desktop icon issues where the icons just show up all as the same weird icon (a paper with a window inside). Is this some bug of x220 or jut windows in general?

Another post said to check for backlight bleeding. I did observe some minor bleeding, 3 spots at the bottom of the screen. Would this be something I should bring up to the tech support?

Lastly, when I looked at the WEI of my x220, it shows as follows:
7.1/7.5/4.7/6.2/6.7 How come the Graphic's is so low? Also, when I had an Asus Zenbook, the SSD inside is rated 7.8 or 7.9, but the SSD on x220 is only 6.7? Thanks for all inputs! :)

Might want to make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your video card. I have the Intel HD3000 and my Graphics WEI score is 5.7.

What make and model is your SSD? Are you sure it's a 1.8" drive? As far as I know, the x220 HDD bay takes 2.5" drives only.

    @ gamekingr

    Your WEI scores are low.

Mine, out of the box (with 4GB RAM), were 7.1, 5.9, 4.8, 6.2, 7.7. I just let all the recommended Lenovo and Microsoft updates install themselves. I installed 8GB HyperX RAM and I upgraded to Win 7 Pro x64.

My WEI scores went up to 7.1, 7.6, 6.3, 6.3, 7.6 -- which are high graphics scores for this particular Intel HD graphics chip.

I know none of this really helps you but I will try to look into more later as I want to see if I can this mSATA SSD working.

i've discover more updates that I needed to do. After completely updated the assessment gave me the score of 7.1/7.5/5.7/6.2/6.8. Seems more reasonable. Is the reason that my hard disk score is much lower than urs due to Toshiba sucks and intel ssd is better? Thanks :)

I think that that hard disk score is good. It looks like Intel is probably better than the Toshiba.
The SSD in my desktop PC only gets WEI score of 5.9. I think I need a new SSD there -- it was one of the first Kingston-based ones...

See my post here for a table which shows how the RAM configuration affects the graphics performance. All the tests were on my T420s with i5-2520M CPU.

Note that you may need to rerun WEI twice for the results to be correct. I needed to do that during my testing.
