I always have auto updates in windows and lenovo turned off for my w520 but somehow I got pushed a newer synaptics driver which broke scrolling in all my virtual machines. This was driving me bonkers and maybe will save someone some time and headaches. I think I ran a thinkpad bluetooth update because my phone's bluetooth connection wasn't as fast as I wanted. Running Win 7 x64 host with ubuntu/win7 x32/server 2008r2/2012/win10 vms.

I've found synaptics driver 15.3.8.0 to work perfectly fine with scrolling in a vm using vmware workstation 9/10/11 and virtualbox. If it stopped working for you try to uninstall the newer drivers and install the older driver.

Edit: I also think this was the cause of my bluetooth mouse constantly disconnecting. Will update further if this is the case (confirmed the pushed synaptics driver on system update did mess with my mouse's bluetooth connectivity)

Does anyone know if the w530 bluetooth 4.0 module 60y3303 will boot and work on a w520/t420/x220 series (I think the 20 series only had 3.0 bluetooth and 4.0 has high speed).
