    New T400 will come!

    New features:

    Intel Core 2 Duo Processor P9500 (2.53GHz 1066MHz 6MBL2) 25W

    ThinkPad PC DOS License

DVD ROM 8x Max, Ultrabay Slim (Serial ATA)

Intel WiMAX/WiFi Link 5350 (So, the 5300 wireless card do not support the wimax, I think)

    Integrated UWB WPAN

    And I attached the pictures

Well, I see the PC DOS up. It seems like a really good deal for people dumping their own OS on there afterwards. There shouldn't be a problem if I get this DOS and dumping Vista biz or XP pro on there right?

I see the WiMax option but no PC Dos, that downgrade would be amazing as I have no use for another vista license....hope it comes back!

I see you also had the option for 1.5gb of memory which I never had, where did you go to get a T400 build with those options?

These sightings of various options happen frequently. If you see memory options with .5's you are looking at one of these teaser events that I don't believe means anything. They are up for a few minutes and then disappear. Don't believe it until it is up and stays. I haven't heard of anyone getting an order in for these transient options.

Seems the only one that's up permanently is the Intel 5350 wireless chipset:
Also, they left this up, perhaps on accident:
even though they took down the WPAN option.

Also note that even the 5350 chipset option does not show up for the T500.

^^^ this sucks, I ordered a month ago and Wimax was something I really wanted. Does anyone have a clue how much the 5350 cost?

I am seeing a ray of hope here. If you look into your T400 BIOS you see option for "Wireless and Wi-Max radios"
So I guess Wimax should work if you swap the 5300 with 5350.
I don't think 5350 is available to buy anywhere yet, the cost would be $75 imo, just guessing.
    btw here's the pic :

You mean... even if you order one with those options, they'll cancel it later, right?
Because I have one of those configurations saved in my cart, and was thinking if I should proceed with my order...

P.S.Here's my previous post on the issue with the screenies of the order page: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showpost.php?p=3984896&postcount=7

Order and see what happen of it's a good deal for you. The worst that will happen is they cancel after you wait for weeks. I read most of the boards and have not hear of anyone actually getting an order in this sort of situation. So see if they honor it and post your results.
