Hi everyone,
I am (as some others maybe as well) intersted in buying a Lenovo W520.
I just wanted to open a thread where offers, coupons and so on could be shared.
Right now this thinkpad is not very interestqing because of its high price. But this might change when Dell and HP bring out their SB notebooks in may...
So lets wait and see!![]()

In Canada, the promo ends today, CAPEASTERBUNNY, 25% off under $1500, 30% off over $1500.
SemiAccurate ( SemiAccurate | On Target Technology News) reported that laptop prices are likely to rise about 10% in second half of 2011. -
Here's some bad news. Someone leaked the discount code that sales reps were using onto the internet so Lenovo revoked it. Consequently, reps can't give the discounts they once were.

Is there any chance to get access to the canadian discount if your are living in california?????.
Lease say yes! ;-))) -
I don't think there is... But I could be wrong.
You can try and see if it'll let you check out, but I doubt it as the checkout page only has Canadian provinces listed. -
I seriously dont get Lenovo here. Ok they have this copon to push sales. Well, so now lots of people want to buy a W520 because of the coupon and now they dont want to sell it anymore?
Well somehow this is a bit fooling the customers.
I would nderstand that certain groups get better prices than others but this iskind of disposal... -

I agree about the coupon codes, it is very hard to make a large purchase for $XXXX -10% when you have seen the same purchase at $XXXX -20% or 25%. With all the talk of order Delays, B3 boards and other early adopter issues I can wait as long as it takes to get the best price. If I could find a way to get 25% off today I would pull the trigger, otherwise I will wait. We all know %10 off is really normal Lenovo price, making 25% off= 15% off in reality.

Pcconnection has a preconfigured w520 2.2/8gb/500gb/quadro1000/fhd with 3year warranty for $1599 with less than $30 overnight shipping.
I ordered one last night and it's on the ups truck for delivery today. What ordering delays
PC Connection - Detail -
I just picked one up from PC Connection too. Any way I looked at it, it was about the best deal I could find. Coupon codes for 10% discounts on lenovo.com just couldn't match.
Last night Buy.com had some in stock, but this morning they were sold out. It wasn't the model I wanted but, I would have preferred Buy.com because my credit card would have given me 5% cash back by purchasing through the credit card website. -
