I have just removed Vista Business from my Z61t as I could not handle the slowness and constant crashing applications.
I have re-installed XP-Pro and installed all the ThinkVantage Suite but the password manager is not available.
When I installed Client Security it all apeared to work but now says
'The user could not be enrolled with Client Security Solution'
if I try and 'Reset Security Settings'.
I have tried uninstalling Client Security and reinstalling but it still does the same thing?
Any ideas how I can get it working?
    Thanks in advance.

I just upgraded to Vista Business, have a Thinkpad R60 and experienced the same issue with the client security center giving me the message "The user could not be enrolled with Client Security Solution" every time I booted up.

The solution that worked for me (and should work with the XP version too).

    1) Uninstall Client Security Solution 8.0 (for Vista)
    2) Shutdown your computer
    3) Hold down F1 (while computer is off) and press power button to turn on computer
    4) Once a message stating the the computer is booting into BIOS, release F1
    5) In the BIOS, go to the Security Chip section
    6) In the Security Chip section, the last selection was to clear its settings (I forget the exact wording)
    7) Clear the settings and select Yes to clear the encryption thats on the chip
    8) Save settings and start Windows
    9) Reinstall Client Security Solutions

After reboot, it completed the enrollment process successfully.

I had exactly the problem mentioned above with XP.
Thanks so much for the solution, it helped a lot.

I can not believe that it is not mentioned on the Lenovo page.

    THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
