I keep playing with my new T61 and last night I decided to try XP and vista dual booting. I deleted all partitions and installed XP pro in D first (C is for Vista later on). Installation process went really well but I couldn't establish internet connection after XP installation. I went through the proper steps it said that my broadband should already be configured and working. But its not.

How can I get the driver back? Without internet connection I cannot download other drivers and updates from lenovo ...

Thanks a lot for your help.

If you don't have the cd with the drivers you will need to get on a pc with internet and download it onto a flash drive then install it.

Do you know which specific driver I need to download? Is it Ethernet or something else for T61?

I actually made a copy of /SWTOOL in a portable external storage before I repartition my HD. But that copy is for Vista, not for XP. Do you think I can still find something there to install and it'll work with XP.

    Thank you very much.

Man, just download the drivers on another computer, put them on a flash drive, then install them on the new formatted computer. Simple as that, no need to mess around with /swtool or whatnot.

Thanks for your post, I really appreciate that. But I'd like to know some step by step things: what drivers should I download? There are UAA (universal ...) and modem drivers as well as others. What's the sequence of setting up? More details, please.

    Thanks a lot.
