    Anyone happens like me that the HDD registry much activity and makes noise???

    Yes, I used to have one that made some noise. especpially when it has low battery power, nothing to worry about.

    My HDD is pretty quiet, even under heavy defrag. Hitachi 100g 7200rpm.

    It's possible to buy a HDD in a shop and install in the notebook. I say that because the notebook have the active protection system for the HDD, I think that are a special HDD.

    Yes, you can as to my understanding the Active Protective System is from the MB rather than the Hard Drive.
