Customer service is non existent. I hate reading about new Ts and Xs being sent back. Sales people surly and only in it for the comission. They keep running the company this way and its the next Gateway.

Well, if you have the machine in hand, is it what you ordered, or are there issues?

I thought you sought for an alternative to the ThinkPad the other time and I suggested to you the HP 6910p, from the elite HP business series, knowing the crucial nature of your job requirement.

Since you opted to fall back on ThinkPad after your 1st order cancellation, then that is by your own election; I have helped you in your search for an alternative.

I cannot imagine the massive problem you went through. It certainly does not occur in my country, to my best understanding.

The practical issue now is that you got what you ordered. Whatever is on print is secondary. Substance over description is what really matters.

Yeah the off handed comments can really go too far sometimes. If you don't have anything nice to say just don't say it.

My comment was about your constant attention seeking. You are the one who complains and negates, but actually it's you who adds very little to this community.

Go easy on him Renee, he's just worried that he didn't get what he ordered. Dealing with Lenovo is kind of maddening and their communication (in the form of website, email confirmations, etc..) to the customer can be inconsistent and frustrating.

    But I agree with Ickysmits......

On thier web, I can't find how to find a depot. In order to find a company, you have to enter the company's name.

But that seems pretty insulated from the quality of the machine that I am writing this on.

So what exactly is the issue? Did you get what you ordered and paid for?
    Please elaborate. :)

I bought a new very full to the max t61p that was advertised to have a Verizon Sierra card. Instead it has Turbo memory. I need to get not only the cards swapped which is not a problem but also to have the clear plate replaced. That's the panel covering the LEDs on the front. This isn't warranty work but I do want to the clear plate replaced by an authorized service center.

Their web page is not overly functional as it required Lenovo itself 25 minutes to find a service center today. Now..... I'm off to the service center.

I see. That kind of sucks. I understand your frustration.

I hope things go well for you with the service center. Once everything gets fixed, I'm sure you'll love your new machine.

    Good luck! :)

I've got a lot of questions mark. Tonight I ordered a DELL EVDO REV A card off Ebay. It look identical to the Lenovo card. I hope my lenovo will take it.

I really did go to the service center today but I couldn't find it physically. I took a jpg of a mapquest map with me today but the scale was a little too large and I ended driving in a lot of country. I am encouraged, I just think this is going to be a lot of piddly work.

File a BBB report thats what I did, and as a matter of fact I'll give you this. Exec relations. 919-257-4820. If your in the US this guy should be able to help you, but I would defiantly do a BBB report asap. It took me almost two weeks to get through to them, got tired of running in circles and just filed a BBB report. Was actually surprised how fast they got their act together.
