Finally bought T530 with the FDH screen and frankly I have to say that this screen is not as good as I had imagined.
Compared to my X220 IPS screen, the color on T530's FDH is heavier and washed out.
Is there any remedies to make the FDH screen look better, or even on par with the IPS screen on X220?

Most likely Lenovo no longer uses the AUO B156HW01 V.4, which is known for its excellent quality.

However they still say: 95-percent colour gamut LED display in FHD. - Guessing it could be another 95% gamut screen... -

I got this EEID information. Does it mean that my panel is not the AUO one?

I use HWiNFO64 and this is what I see (in the second window, hidden beneath the main window):
You should manage to get something similar. The data fields you posted above don't say much, at least to me.
By the way, I gathered the "new" 15.6" FHD screen is manufactured by AUO, but a different model (forgot the exact model id) -- with different characteristics. -

with an IPS screen on X220 is not fair after all? -
Ah. Some users notice that colors -- especially red -- are oversaturated ("too bright," "too intense," "too washed out") on the AUO B156HW01 V4. Calibration or using a profile may be recommended. Flickster and some other forum members have shared their display profiles.
The IPS screen on X220? Quite possibly you're used to it. (I refrain from commenting on it.) -

I have the FHD on my T530 (which Kaso suggested
) and I was initially a bit surprised at the screen. The colors are very sharp, it is bright and it does not look like your normal screen, laptop or not. This is not to say good or bad. I was slightly hesitant at first.
After using this screen for a while, I have come to absolutely like it. It is excellent. The factory color profile is good but I am using Flickster's color profile. It has made the screen easier on the eyes and it looks better in many ways. I may update this post later with a link to Flickster's color profile.
This might also be relevant to this thread: I have used the X230 with the IPS for a bit and could not get used to it. After about an hour of use, the screen would become somewhat uncomfortable. The colors and everything else is fine but for long use sessions, I like the T530's screen. Try to use a different color profile and see what happens.
To change the profile, first download the new icc file. Then search for "color management." Go on from there. -
Here is a link to my original post regarding the T/W530 FHD colour profiles: http://forum.notebookreview.com/lenovo/695861-t-w530-fhd-color-profile.html
This is a direct link to the profile I created: https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=974EC8A99D5A6D96!126&authkey=!AAt1a4VCHTUwzNs
For my eyes the factory profile was way over saturated, my profile made the colour looks much more natural on my screen. If you don't know how to activate colour management on Windows 7, my original post explains it. If not you can simply try the profile.
Hopefully it's an improvement for you. -
Thank you Flickster. Your color profile is indeed an improvement over the stock color settings.

Just my 2 cents: I used to have an X220 with IPS screen and I found it rather horrible. Dirty, dull and inaccurate colors, wasn't too fond of it. The T530 FHD screen should have superior colors, as it nearly covers the AdobeRGB color space. (the X220 IPS doesn't even come close the sRGB, which is very bad)

My impression of X220 IPS screen is completely the opposite of yours.
Not so impressed with the FDH 1920x1080 screen on T530
