Hi, just got NHC, looks pretty good. Should I uninstall IBM's battery maximizer? I tried to and it said a .dll was in use so i couldn;t uninstall it, what should i do?

I have a tecra m3 and i use both toshiba power saver app and NHC because there are things that NHC can't handle like fan speed or screen brightness. It also seems like the CPU performance tuner doesn't affect the speed steps themselves but perhaps subcomponents of the CPU maybe? I'm really not sure but NHC doesn't seem to be doing the same thing as the power saver app that comes with the machine, so i think their actions are complementary and keeping both wont hurt.

thanks for the reply. i like NHC but don't really like the fact that i have to install the NET framework. are there similar apps out there like NHC?
NHC also says my battery has a wear level of 19%, would recalibrating it help? -
Wear level is permanent. Recalibrating it as i understand will only make the readings of how much juice left in your battery more accurate.
I think RMclock can also undervolt your cpu but i found it a bit too difficult to use with all the technical terms. Not very userfriendly this one, but you'll get good results if you get some tutorial to walk you through it. I think there are some links floating around these forums. Do a search.
