    Hi,
My T61 just shipped today. I want to ask two more questions.

    1) Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced notebook sleeve for a T61 with a 15.4" screen that won't chafe the computer? Anybody been using one that hasn't been rubbing the rubber off?

    2) Can anyone recommend cheap memory fast memory? Will different latencies make any difference in performance?

    Thanks in advance!!!

    for a good sleeve: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834990066

    for memory: newegg.com
    look for laptop memory. t61 uses DDR2 667 PC-5300.

go to target or wal-mart, look for a piece of very fine fabric (same as the one used for cleaning glasses and screens). then have it sewn as an inner protective sleeve. this way help reduce the wearing of outer case of your laptop.

    1. If you want a custom sleeve to your specs, it is pricey but worth it. www.sfbags.com *waterfield designs*

    2. Any memory would do as long as it has lifetime warranty, when I bought my memory from newegg it was 50 bucks after rebate. Check around for deals.

Read this thread or that thread.

My choice was the Elecom Zeroshock III ( link 1, link 2). Really good protection and very good fit.
