    Hey there,

whenever I put the T61p in sleep mode and I remove the USB mouse after that it again wakes up. Can I avoid that somehow?

Click on your Mice properties in Device Manager and uncheck the 'allow this device to bring system out of standby' on the power management tab.

I have no idea which setting it is under device manager. But I do know you can disable the USB's wake out of standby.

Look under Universal Serial Bus Controllers -> USB Root Hub

In the properties, you will see a "Power Management" tab.

There are many "USB Root Hub's" though, I'm not sure which one is correspond to the usb port that your mouse is connected to, you will have to try.

Is there a Mouse Settings in your Control Panel? If there is, click on it and go to the hardware tab. Then click on properties. Now power management tab and uncheck the box.

If that doesn't work, just go through all the USB ports in device manager and disallow them to bring your computer out of standby as stewiegriffin^^ said.
