    All P systems are considered to be mobile workstations or in essesence high performance. There is a T41p, T43P, T60p, etc. The difference between a T42 and a T60 is mainly the CPU. The T42 uses the Dothan Pentium M while T60 uses the Core Duo CPU. The T40-43 are fairly similar while the T60 has more cosmetic changes.

    between the t42 and t43, T43 uses 533 mhz cpu instead T42 uses only 400 Mhz...and other differences such as firewire and lisghtly different battery life, weight.....

    Can't we just say newest T60, new T43P, T42 old, T41 older, P signifies fingerprint reader.
    Doesn't that work the same?

    there are plenty of non "p" models with fingerprint. IIRC it does signify the fireGL card.
