I'm considering upgrading my x201 to a x230 in September, when I hope Lenovo will be offering some generous discounts while trying to clear their inventory for the arrival of x240

I remember reading somewhere about an official (by Lenovo) mailing on discounts and special offers, but it's been impossible to locate the thread/post or remember the name of the list (or locate in at Lenovo.com)

Could someone please point me to the right direction please ?

I'm sure there's a way to sign up for emails on Lenovo's website. Might want to try their twitter account too. Barnes and Noble used to be another good option for discounts, though I've not looked in a while. Hard to say about the discounts. I've seen it go both ways.

B&N was the best option for me. .. essentially the base price was lower then I was able to add whatever promo % off on top of that
