Just bought the 252902U (z60m, 1.86, Ti cover, etc) online with 3 year depot extension. Ship date is like December 17th, but praying for it to get bumped sooner :D

If you really do own 6 volvos you can now say you own 7, the ThinkPad Z60m is going to serve as a reliable tank that may be a bit muscular and bulky looking, but will get the job done for you every time ;)

congrats, we look forward to hearing about it. and fingers crossed on the ship date staying reasonable. It'll look nice under the Christmas tree.

After going through 2 new toshibas last xmas, I am taking nothing less then IBM from now on. I couldn't stand the thin plastic lid clips or the super flimsy plastic. Models I had were the m30x and the Tecra M2. Both junk. The m30x got returned because of a bad internal charging circuit, and the m2 had a dim blob on the screen.

Hoping this z60m has no dead pixels. Might be a dream, but I can still wish

Screw the christmas tree, I am using it as soon as it comes

Does anyone know if IBM overestimates ship dates, or might it come after the suggested one? Kinda wondering if I will even have this toy before I leave for vacation.

EDIT: What shipper does IBM use? Wondering if I will be around to have them drop it off on my porch.

x300 64 meg. I couldn't justify the price on the other. All said and done I was at a VERY good price which I am not sure I can mention (EPP)
