    Hi...

Just found an old IBM Thinkpad i Series. The "Type" is 2651 with a Celeron processor. It seems to have Win2K installed as per the sticker on the back.

And, if I remember correctly, it is around 10 years old.

So, the question is: Is it worth it fixing? In fact, I don't think there should be nothing wrong with it, aside from not having used it for 10 years! I don't even know what I stopped using it.

If it can be salvaged, I was wondering if I could probably wipe out Win 2K, install a light version of Linux and play around with it. Or, is it really not worth the trouble?

    Thanks

whoa, that really depends on what you consider is 'worth it'.

You should ask the forum members at forum.thinkpads.com, there is a special section for Linux users.
