Got an edge e420, HD 3000. Not sure if I should be using the latest intel graphic drivers or just stick with the ones from Lenovo. What I have is working, but just curious since Lenovo doesn't update theirs very often.

Go for intel's. They update their drivers more frequently and you'll get better performance/stability.

While I don't have a quantifiable measurement, I feel like the Intel drivers have different brightness levels than the Lenovo ones. OCM is correct that the Intel drivers are updated much more frequently.

If you use Intel drivers from the Intel Website you might have problems adjust your screen brightness, or windows remmbering your brightnerss level after boot, as at least on my Z580 lenovo have modded the Intel driver, make a restore point in case you have problems.

IIRC Lenovo also mods the drivers to work with the Lenovo Power Manger as well.
