I checked out the screen with Dead Pixel Buddy ( http://www.laptopshowcase.co.uk/downloads.php?id=1)

I found out that pixel on:

-On black screen, I cant find that pixel, I believe its black
-On white screen this pixel is red
-On red screen I cant find it, I believe its red
    -On green screen its black
    -On blue screen its black
    -On yellow screen its red

I wouldnt be that annoying but this damn pixel is at the center of the screen and I can see it clearly now when Im typing.

I have tried http://www.jscreenfix.com/basic.php for something like 8,9 hrs and no results :(

Now I have found app called UDPixel (UndeadPixel) which can make little flashing area that stays all the time on top of the window even when Im web browsing etc So I think I will be using my Tablet freely when this is happening

I heard that stuck pixels may dissapear with time... I dont want to make pixel massage because Im affraid that I can break it and my display has protective panel above the screen I think.

I aggree with all that Lenovo puts very low quality screens. (2 post IBM notebooks here) But this Samsung PVA Superbright Is told to be one of the bests here ... so why Im affecting this problem ? Or I believe here starts Lenovo Quality control where IBM wouldnt sell something like this ?

Before tablet I was goin on X200s because It had so good battery life but I backed off when I heard reviews on the screens ...

I understand that Lenovo wants to be available to everybody but when you pay + 2000USD you expect some quality, right ?

Im sorry for ranting here but I paid 3000USD ... I dont even bother looking at Lenovo Return Policy because Im not able to return this so I hope time will tell and this will dissapear.\ :(

    Cheers

I can't believe that you're serious. No matter how good quality control is, there will always be some dead pixels on LCDs. I can guarantee you, LCDs with dead pixels exist for laptops of all brands, not just Lenovo. Just because you're not lucky enough to get a defect-free screen doesn't mean that this is Lenovo's fault. This has nothing to do with the quality of the screen either. You can get a X200s and you run the risk of getting the same dead pixel.
The only thing that you could do, however, was to explore return policy of Lenovo or their resellers, and find out which one doesn't require a restocking fee, in case something happens. This is, unfortunately, what you didn't do so I think the only one to blame here is yourself.
About the pixel, it can either be a stuck pixel or dead pixel. If it's a stuck pixel, then it will be gone eventually. Otherwise, it will be there forever if its a dead pixel. Only time will tell.
Another option is to sell off your laptop, but X200 tablet fully loaded nowadays only costs about $1800, so that brings me to another point, which is I don't understand how you spend $3000 on this laptop.
Clearly, you haven't done a lot of research yourself before buying the laptop, and that's why you're encountering these problems. My suggestion is to take it as a costly lesson, and move on.

I payed $3000 for a uMacbook Pro and it had 1 dead pixel , and i know most manufactures will not accept a 1 dead pixel return , so a few member suggested i told them the fault was a flickering screen instead a fault that can affect macbooks.

I returned it and got a replacement and the screen is perfect, but i might have got one with more than 1 dead pixel, it`s the luck of the draw.

It is one of the best, but that can coexist with having a dead or stuck pixel. Here's the Lenovo Deal/Stuck Pixel Policy, which is one of the better ones in the industry. It requires only three dead stuck pixels for replacement. You can call and tell them it's in the middle of the screen, which may or may not get you some traction, but if they say no you've not lost anything.

Sorry to hear about the dead pixel, but that is certainly a risk with any LCD. Lenovo's policy on dead pixels scales with resolution and type of pixel (dead, stuck, or combination), but you're most likely SOL if you only have 1.

i would contact lenevo and explain your case and how its in the middle of the screen. you never know and it certainly doesnt hurt to try. ive heard of different manufacturers making an exception when the pixel is in the middle or near the center of the screen
