    Hello all,

I just bought a lenovo y650 that was used by a student for a little over a year. Its in great condition with a keyboard cover and hardly any wear and tear.

Anyway, I hit the OneKey rstore button and it powered right up, and went into the OneKey backup, restore mode. I choose "Restore to factory defaults" and then it says "Initializing". I was at this screen for 25 minutes and counting (theres a timer) and still at 0% and also displayed "do not unplug as restoration can fail". Well, the computer was really hot, like super hot to the touch right on the left side below the power button. So i turned it off.

Now, when I boot up, after the first bios option screen, it'll say "Boot manager missing. Press ctrl+alt+del to restart". I hit the OneKey button to retry it and it does the same thing. Basically the computer won't boot anymore.

The recovery partition isnt deleted and the computer was running windows 7 ultimate fine for a long time while I was testing everything out before I decided to restore back to factory settings.
    What could be the problem?

Well, you shut the computer off when it told you not to. It was probably rewriting your boot records, so just do an MBR repair and hopefully you can get back into Windows.
