Hello, I've had my T510 for half a year already and I think its time to clean the dust build up inside the T510. I'm not very confident in disassembling the laptop myself, are there any videos or user guides out there? I can't seem to be able to find any. In any case how do u guys clear the air vents on the side of the thinkpads to remove dusts balls/buildup?

take the keyboard out and you'll see the heatsink and the fan. Be careful and just dust the appropriate areas. Then dust and wipe down the keyboard. Remember to take out the battery and not touch any of the board as static electricity can do a number on circuitry.

There's videos at the support and training site. There's a link in the sticky.

hold down the fan vanes, and then clean the vent and fan using the vacuum cleaner. Alternatively, use a can of compressed air and then blow it at the laptop's vent and fan, or any places where you see lot of dusts.
