I've heard that the S300 has quite a disappointing battery life, less than expected. Probably, the '5 hour battery life' isn't true when it comes to actual usage. I'd like to ask for your opinions (especially from actual owners), whether it's a good laptop or not. By the way, I'm talking about the one with the Pentium 997 processor. I'm not sure what the model is, but what are the available models of the S300?

you're in luck! my girlfriend has the S300 w/ the Pentium 997 model. it didn't last 5 hours when in wifi and browsing. more like around 3 to 4 hours. what i like about the S300 is that it's thin and light. keypad doesn't bend much. the only thing i find that bends is the lid at the rear part near the battery. the pentium processor is perfect for office use and everyday browsing. i borrowed it a couple of days and i even played dota and counter strike source on it. i believe the pentium model has the hd 2000. it heats up with cs source though. :D

Hmmm...Seems good to me. But I think I'll get a different laptop. Thanks though. :D
