Hi, I am just checking that the drive included with the z61 I am looking at is indeed recordable. It comes standard with the 8X max DVD recordable ATAPI Ultrabay Slimdrive. I know this is probalby stupid. When I look into iton the website it says it is DVD rom. I really only need to be able to burn cd's but DVD would be nice. This does both?

Well it says "recordable " in the description. Would that not mean able to burn?also its a 2k notebook. kind of unthinkable that you would not be able to burn a cd or dvd , no? Here is the address, dont know how to link lol still learning.

Link is busted. What is the machine type? I'm thinking for $2k it is the DVD burner.
