    Optimal threshold charge settings

    I keep hearing differnt things from different people...

    what are the best "stop" and "start" charge settings if we have battery health in mind ?

    the only thing i know for sure is that storage is best at 40% and cool temp.
    also that every 30 or so cycles it's best to fully discharge and recharge in order to reset it.

    I would say that's already a good setting right there. :)
    Since Thinkpads already run so long, I don't mind it keeping it at a lower charge level. ;)

    well the 40% refers to batteries being stored as opposed to used. the same study recommended actually keeping the battery in the fridge (w/o freezing it of course)

    in any case I was asking for the best "start charging at" & "stop charging at" settings.
